For Van Sillevoldt Rice (VSR), we built a digital solution that transformed manual quality controls into an efficient, compliant and data-driven process with real-time insight. VSR is the European market leader in private labels and natural rice, intended for the food industry and retail trade. As a food manufacturer, VSR must comply with strict regulations from the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) and ad-hoc audits.

Lack of overview
Manually stored documents were often lost or incomplete. It was unclear which files were received or were still missing, leading to delays and inefficiency.
Paper-focused processes
Most of the checks were still carried out on paper, causing several problems:
- Younger employees expect more digital tools to support their work.
- There was no real-time insight into the QA data collected.
- Manual processing made it more difficult to ensure data quality.

Dynamic checklists only show relevant questions per order type. The QA department easily manages them themselves, making audits faster and more efficient.

A mobile app enables real-time input of quality data, increasing accuracy, traceability and efficiency.
