Cheesepop Food Group is a cheese processing company. The company started as a producer of the innovative brand Cheesepop, puffed cheese cubes sold in supermarkets. Since then, the product catalog has expanded to include sauces, powdered cheeses, and melted cheeses. At the start of our collaboration, the company was still in the early stages of digitalization, and all production-supporting tasks were managed in Excel.

Traceability of production
Food safety and quality are the two key words in a food production company. This means that it must always be clear which pallet of which ingredient is used in which (semi)finished product. The development of more complex recipes required a mature solution for this.
Smart inventory management
The increase in the number of ingredients, as well as the quantities of incoming goods, heightened the risk of errors in inventory management. A shortage or surplus of ingredients can lead to high costs or a blocked production process.
Planning optimization
The expansion of the factory floor with multiple production lines, machines, and products made planning more complex. This came with a desire to optimize planning based on cleaning, machine configuration, and agreed delivery dates.
Insights into production
The current system was not suitable for providing clear insights into machine utilization, the effectiveness, and the efficiency of production. To scale sustainably, these insights were needed.
Where this project initially began as a desire for a quality management system, Cheesepop Food Group quickly recognized the potential to support the entire production process with a new digital platform. The result is a custom-made system that supports every step before, during, and after production.
