We have created a unified pooling network with standardized processes and real-time data sharing.
PRS is a leading provider of pooling solutions for reusable pallets in the European petrochemical industry. By managing the circular flow of pallets within the supply chain, PRS contributes to a more sustainable and efficient logistics process.
However, limited visibility into pallet locations led to significant pallet loss, resulting in a return rate of only 55%. To improve this, PRS committed to increasing the return rate, thereby strengthening both its sustainability goals and financial performance.

To define the new digital strategy, we analyzed PRS's internal processes and its collaboration with customers and distributors. The main challenges we identified were:
Manual Tasks
Data submission was manual and inconsistent among partners, leading to errors and a high administrative workload.
Inefficient Processes
There were no standardized workflows or monitoring tools, and knowledge about certain processes relied on individual employees.
Incomplete Data
Outdated and fragmented systems resulted in missing and unreliable data, impacting reporting and decision-making.
Collaboration & Data Sharing
Customers and distributors were reluctant to share data due to security concerns and a lack of incentives, making collaboration difficult.
Our solution was a roadmap for the first year to realize the new digital scenario. The advice focused on four main pillars:
